Denai Lovrien
Denai Lovrien began dancing at the age of 11 after spending years as a competitive gymnast. In May of 2009, she received her BFA in dance from the University of Arizona where she studied ballet, modern, and jazz and had the opportunity to perform pieces by nearly every faculty member. As a student, she also performed Amy Ernst's “Raft” at the 2007 LA Dance Invitational Concert and received a scholarship to train at the Thodos Dance Chicago summer intensive. From the UA School of Dance, in honor of her work, she received the Virginia Robinson award which acknowledges interest, talent, and creativity in a multiplicity of art forms. As a choreographer, her work was showcased at the World Dance Alliance General Assembly in 2009. She recently moved to Los Angeles and is excited to be a part of Benita Bike's DanceArt as well as pursue all the dance world has to offer here.
