Kim
Newstadt is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California’s
Master in Public Art Studies Program. Pursuing a career in arts education
policy and advocacy, she has most recently worked as the Art Gallery
Director for the USC Hillel Art Gallery. Dance has always been an integral
part of her life. Her grandmother and aunt, both dance teachers, introduced
her to movement at an early age. Upon moving to Louisville, KY, she
trained with Dora Manela, former Louisville Ballet Master and Nancy
Fountain, current Theatre Midwest Director. For eight years she studied
under the mentorship of Chuck Bronson and Cyndi Bronner with the University
of Louisville Dance Theatre. Currently, in addition to dancing with
Benita Bike’s DanceArt Company, Kim teaches Israeli dance.
