Benita Bike’s DanceArt is known for presenting inspiring and engaging dance shows in community sites. The Company is as skilled at introducing concert dance to those new to dance, but it also provides an enriching the experience to those who are long-time dance viewers. The dancers of Benita Bike’s DanceArt perform with uncommon sensitivity to one another, bringing intense beauty and vibrancy to each movement. The November 9th performance features: “Griot Songs,” referencing three stages of womanhood, “Aspects of Me,” revealing the many selves that live within each of us, and “For Rose,” a remembrance of the choreographer’s mother and their loving but challenging relationship.
